A tearful goodbye to our boat

By Will North | October 13th, 2013 | Department: Atlantic Row 2013 | Categories: The Boat

Yesterday was a big day for Team Atlantic Row 2013 as it was the day we packed up our boat ahead of being shipped to the START LINE on Wednesday!

So with North Senior behind the wheel all three of us headed down to the Rannoch HQ in Burnham on Crouch where our boat was being stored. We then set about loading all the deck hatches with food, food and more food!! There is just so much of the stuff.

We are having another solar panel and adjustment to our autopilot made by Charlie Pitcher of Rannoch on Monday and then we should be ship shape and ready for the race!

It is amazing to think that 2009 was the first enquiry I made into this race and four years later here Will and I are about to start the biggest challenge of our lives! It’s been a huge effort and we are both pretty chuffed to have made it this far when some said we would struggle to get the funding. So we owe a huge thank you to our very generous sponsors.

Have a look at our facebook page to see more pictures of the boat looking gleaming.
