Getting out of the water

By Dan Howie | November 29th, 2013 | Department: Atlantic Row 2013 | Categories: News, The Boat

Today we took Blue Steel out of the water to do a bit of maintenance - adding a couple more logos and Will got his Marigolds on to do some polishing.

We were both very nervous getting our pride and joy out of the water, one wrong move and the whole campaign would be destroyed. But we were under the safe eyes of James who built our boat (He was probably as nervous as we were) and Juan, the crane driver who doesn't speak a word of English. We were in good hands though as Dan captained the boat onto dry land.

Once Blue Steel was out of the water we had to add a few more sponsor's logos. We also did some sanding and polishing of the bottom of the boat to make sure it's aquadynamic.

Take a look at how nervous we were!
