So what is responsive web design? Put simply, it's the ability to have your website adapt to whatever device, screen size or resolution ensuring the user has the best possible browsing experience.
The internet is mobile. New browsing devices are appearing at an unprecedented rate. Consistency of a brand’s website experience across mobile, tablet and desktop can be poor, and it’s expensive to deliver and maintain multiple sites for different devices.
It doesn’t have to be this way, in fact Jellyfish has developed a number of websites that employ a responsive, fluid design methodology to create one website for all devices.
And so this brings us to the introduction of "CSS3 media queries" which has changed the way we both design and develop websites. Now we only need one site which can adapt, whether you are using a Desktop Computer, Smart Phone, Tablet or even the new Ultra Netbooks like Apples Macbook Air.
Jellyfish have developed our own Responsive CSS framework which targets the 4 main screen sizes / resolutions which are: Desktop, Tablet, Smart Phone (Horizontal) and Smart Phone (Vertical).
Try resizing your browser window to see this in action!
