From December 2011 to November 2012, Fitbit’s share of voice increased by 173%. Engagement via social media channels also increased dramatically.
Our task for Fitbit was to gather data from social conversations taking place online about Fitbit and its competitors, and then to provide insight on increasing brand awareness and sales. Using real time insights gathered via Radian6 and Twitter/Facebook analytics, we were collectively able to pinpoint influencers and engage with those who are talking about the brand.
By providing in-depth analysis of social conversations around brand terms, Fitbit's customer service team and PR agency Kaizo were then able to provide exemplary customer service to those with queries, suggestions, questions and comments. The monitoring also allowed us to pinpoint potential customers who were thinking about purchasing the product, allowing Kaizo to engage with them. We also increased Facebook likes by 900% within a two week period by using an incentivised sweepstake in conjunction with Facebook ads and sponsored stories.
