Designing a new identity for distinguished travel brand

Discover the World are one of the UK’s leading tailor-made destination specialists, creating inspirational holidays for 30 years.

Discover the World came to Jellyfish to rebrand their business and build them an industry-leading, responsive website to take their business to a new, unchartered level.

In order to do this, we undertook a full refresh of their brand identity which included the creation of brand guidelines. We also built a fully responsive website to open the door to a new market.

The objectives

Discover the World set the following objectives at the start of the project:

  • To design an engaging, visually impactful, responsive website
  • To create a tailored CMS that allows Discover the World to have full flexibility in publishing content and managing customer leads
  • To increase organic traffic, brand awareness, enquiries and bookings

Brand development

As part of this project, Jellyfish reviewed all aspects of their brand visibility to consumers across digital and offline media.

Jellyfish also developed and managed an SEO strategy to increase organic visibility, traffic and bookings. This involved technical optimization and the creation of onsite and offsite content to increase the domain authority of the site, drive new visitors and increase bookings.

Once the team had a strong understanding of the existing brand and where the business wanted to head, they were able to get to work on redesigning the brand and all subsequent touchpoints.

The results

The Discover the World website is the primary sales tool for their business. The website Jellyfish developed used the incredible photography that Discover the World have and really made it the hero of their story and offering. What we produced is a site that really shows off their fantastic ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ type of holidays in a way befitting of the luxury nature of the product.

By creating a site that is mobile responsive, we’ve opened up a new potential customer base for Discover the World that they previously couldn’t accommodate effectively.

The platform was built using Joomla! and included:

  • Customized CMS allowing for the creation of category, activity, and product pages
  • CRM/lead management system

The transition to the new site was very successful with no loss in visibility or traffic.

The business has continued to go from strength to strength with a new, shiny brand identity that excites more customers to book a trip with Discover the World.
