The Role

The role is a senior leadership position and requires a dynamic combination of commercial strategy/execution, digital marketing and strategic leadership.

The Head of Paid Social EMEA will be an influencer and visionary who has strong opinions on where social is heading, and how Jellyfish will need to evolve to stay relevant within the sector. You will be at the heart of the Jellyfish new business effort and will provide guidance to top management on how to seamlessly incorporate paid social into our sales strategy.

Your aim is to ensure excellence of our paid social solution. You will drive additional revenues and control the efficient delivery of our paid social solution. Critical responsibilities will be:

Responsibilities

  • Manage the regional paid social P&L with demonstrable growth for both revenue and net profit
  • Provide strategic direction and implementation of the Jellyfish paid social solution
  • Work closely with other heads of departments (Analytics, Paid Search, Display, SEO) to develop and deliver a fully integrated digital marketing solution
  • Work closely with counterparts in other regions to ensure consistency of our global paid social solution and to share successes and resolve challenges
  • Act as focal point for paid social at Jellyfish by:
    - Getting to know and helping service our largest clients
    - Delivering thought leadership through media and speaking engagements
    - Creating strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
    - Demonstrate quality improvement across our client portfolio
  • Create and lead key client strategic use cases for paid social
  • Shape, build and lead the paid social team and ensure the team has the right skills and appetite for delivering excellent digitally enabled solutions
  • Prospect and win new business
  • Develop the paid social discipline and new techniques to improve our current solution
  • Develop our technology stack to deliver advanced paid social strategies either implementing off the shelf technology solutions or developing new technology to solve challenges.

Experience Required

  • Demonstrate experience of growing gross and net profit within an organisation
  • Ability to develop commercial marketing solutions to increase market reach and profitability for the EMEA region
  • Experience managing direct reports(paid social directors) effectively
  • Experience in taking ownership of people related issues in accordance with company procedure
  • Significant experience in leading digital marketing paid social teams
  • Has a deep understanding of the wider digital advertising sector and specifically how paid social works within an integrated digital marketing strategy
